I have taken the horns off of the top of my cabinets and mounted them inside the vent hole, (Rotating the cabinets so that the basshorn is now on the bottom, of course.)
This places the venting around the HF horn. Which leads me to another idea; Mounting the horn on a solid 3/4 birch ply board that fits in the current vent, (Effectively closing off the vent.), and moving the vent to another location. Perhaps the rear of the cabinet?
Now, I have a few questions.
A)What would be the optimum vent size?
B)Would it be to my advantage to use those commercially available flared vents like they sell at Parts Express? If so, what diameter and length would be optimum?
Now, keep in mind, I am no engineer. I am horribly mathlexic. Referring me to some mathmatical formula to use would be like asking a dog to perform neurosurgery.
So, if anyone could be kind enough to help me out with this, it would be eternally appreciated. And all advice/comments are welcome.

Greets!
To get the proper physical alignment will require a boxed inset, not simply mounting it on the front of a flush front baffle board. The inset will require heavy damping, like shown here: http://www.lansingheritage.org/image...iago/page2.jpg
Rear venting is fine as long as they're not up against the wall.
Tuning is personal preference/room/app dependent, so experimentation is required.
The flared vents are nice, though you'll need multiples for each cab. The last 825 pair I had a say-so in its tuning wound up with four 4" x 4" long each IIRC, but using them was his preference. I prefer rectangular ducts tuned a little higher than my target Fb, then damped as required to get the smoothest in-room 'blend', while the folks who've posted theirs tend to be more Altec-like, i.e. tuned high (underdamped) to minimize the step response between the horn and reflex section (75"^2 minimum assuming 3/4" thick material and as high as the stock opening).
